Below are some resources for building your robot. These build guides won't give you a competition winning bot, but is a great starting spot. Your team will need to apply the engineering process to design and build your own robot to win the competition.

Optional Robot Expansion
We provide the REV FTC Starter Kit v3.1 to new teams. This kit will allow your team to build a robot and compete in the FTC competition. Teams may fundraise money to purchase additional components for your robot. Fundraising and budget is a component of the engineering portfolio. We recommend teams fundraise money to expand the capabilities of their robot and for team spirit through materials like team shirts. Below are some example kits to help expand your robot's capabilities.

CAD Software
FTC DocsComputer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D animation software is used in FIRST Tech Challenge by teams to design and visualize complex systems prior to manufacturing.
As a benefit of being a FIRST Tech Challenge Team, some sponsors of FIRST programs have generously provided complimentary software, licenses, and/or support to teams. Many of these licenses are valid for one year and must be renewed annually. Sometimes sponsored content require the use of a donation voucher provided in your FIRST Dashboard team account, sometimes sponsors merely require your Team number and contact information, and some software is simply provided free of charge with no proof of registration requirement.
