About Us

FIRST Newfoundland and Labrador is a division of Levitate Learning, a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. We stride to provide every student in the province the opportunity to explore STEM education to discover their passions and how to pursue a STEM career.

Our volunteer base consists of many people who participated in FIRST Lego League and other robotics programs in the province. We know how impactful these programs can be and put in the work to give that opportunity to the next generation.

Our Mission

To inspire students of Newfoundland and Labrador to pursue further studies and careers in the field of science, technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship. This is achieved by providing exciting mentor-based programs that build science, technology, engineering, and problem solving skills. The programs we provide inspire innovation and foster well-round life capabilities such as self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
